AICS — Cash help in emergencies

When something bad happens — hospital bill, funeral, child sent home from school for fees, family food running out — MSWDO can give a small cash amount to help. Usually up to ₱10,000 per case. This is called AICS.

  • Who uses it:
  • AICS officer
  • Social worker
  • OIC
  • Cashier

How to operate

  1. 1

    Open AICS

Sidebar → Service programs → AICS. The page shows all current AICS cases.

  2. 2

    Filter what you see

Click a chip on top: Released (already paid), Waiting for funds (approved but not yet paid), or Lacking docs (still missing papers).

  3. 3

    Find the person

Type their name in the search box.

  4. 4

    Add a new case

Click + New transaction. Pick the person, pick the type (medical / burial / educational / transportation / food / livelihood / calamity), type the amount, write a short note.

  5. 5

    Mark as released

After the cashier hands over the cash, edit the case and change status to Released. The date is recorded for you.

  6. 6

    Print or export

Use Export CSV to open the list in Excel. Use Print for a clean paper version with the LGU letterhead.

Tips

  • Tell the person what to bring before they queue — share the link /check-requirements with them. Less waiting, less wasted trips.
  • The yellow callout on top shows how many cases are still waiting for funds — that's your "wala pa kadawat" tracker.
  • For burial: death certificate. For medical: hospital bill + medical certificate signed by the doctor. For education: enrollment proof. For transportation: medical referral.

Common mistakes

  • Do not change status to "Released" before the cashier actually gives the cash. The status is the truth.
  • Do not edit the amount after approval — instead, add a NEW transaction for the difference.
