Solo Parent

A parent raising a child alone (because the other parent died, left, is in jail, is sick, or never married them) can get a Solo Parent ID. ID is good for 1 year. Very low-income solo parents also get ₱1,000 every month.

  • Who uses it:
  • Solo Parent officer
  • Social worker
  • OIC

How to operate

  1. 1

    Open Solo Parent

Sidebar → Service programs → Solo Parent.

  2. 2

    New SPIC

Click + New transaction, type "SPIC issuance". The expiry date is set to 1 year from today automatically.

  3. 3

    Renewal alert

30 days before the ID expires, the system shows a yellow flag. Tell the solo parent to come back for renewal.

  4. 4

    Monthly subsidy

Type "Subsidy disbursement". Mark status Waiting for funds; flip to Released after the cashier pays.

Tips

  • There are 10 reasons someone can be a solo parent — death of spouse, in jail, hospitalized, separated, abandoned, OFW spouse, never married, court guardian, etc. Pick the right reason — the documents required are different for each.
  • They must attend the orientation before the first SPIC. Schedule it during their intake visit.

Common mistakes

  • Do not forget to remind expiring IDs. Once the date passes, the discount stops working.
